‘fell in love with a girl’ by the white stripes was shot frame by frame with each frame having the LEGO bricks rebuilt, sometimes in a complex manner to seem as if it were an actual shot, and then formed together to give the illusion of motion. The video mostly consists of red, white, and black color. This is because they dressed in these colors in day to day life.

The video won three MTV Video Music Awards in 2002: Breakthrough Video, Best Special Effects, and Best Editing. It also received a nomination for Video of the Year.

‘Around the World’ is a song by the electronic music duo Daft Punk. It appeared on the duo's debut album, Homework and was released as a single the same year.

Michel Gundry’s music video for the song features robots walking around in a circle on a platform (which represents a vinyl record), tall athletes (as described by Gundry) wearing tracksuits with small prosthetic heads walking up and down stairs, women dressed like synchronized swimmers (described by Gundry as "disco girls") moving up and down another set of stairs, skeletons dancing in the center of the "record," and mummies dancing in time with the song's drum pattern.

This is meant to be a visual representation of the song; each element in the video represents a different instrument. According to Gundry’s notes, the androids represent the singing robot voice; the physicality and small-minded rapidity of the athletes symbolizes the ascending/descending bass guitar; the femininity of the disco girls represents the high-pitched keyboard; the "itchy" skeletons serve for the guitars; the mummies represent the drum machine.

Michel gondry like experementing with special effects. This is shown in this video very well. As this is a clip from youtube there isnt any infomation on why he made the clip, but none the less this is still a classic peice made by the legend of Michel gondry

This speech connects to the powerpoint below. I worked with Reece and Lauren. we decided to take a video of michel gondrys each and talk about them. i think this worked very well beause we were doing indipendant reaserch aswell as working in a group.

Our Video

As part of our piliminary exercise, we had to create a short film, including 15-18 differnt camera angles in the footage. Then we had to include short reverse shot, and some diologue between two people. I worked in a group with Hannah, Jack, Olivia, Vicky and Lauren. i belived we worked well as a group all the way through the ideas prosess the filming and the editing. We drew a story board of what we wanted out film to be like. We chose the film to be baced in the libary anf the conversation to be between Jack the person walking and Olivia our librarian. We used 18 differnt shots in our film which was the maxim we were aloud. After all the filming was done we uploaded iot onto the mac's and edited our clips on there to make it smooth and free flowing. If we had to do this again we would make sure that we would use the camera stand so our shots wernt so wobbley and the camera we used was more focused.
